Terms & Conditions Charity Football Tournament

Event Registration: By purchasing a ticket for the Charity Football Tournament on June 22nd 2024, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Ticket Purchase: All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to changes in personal circumstances, event cancellation, or rescheduling.

Participant Information: Ensure that the information provided during the registration process is accurate. The West Ham United Foundation is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect information.

Event Participation: Participants must comply with all event rules and regulations. The West Ham United Foundation reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant who violates these rules.

Event Changes or Cancellation: In the unlikely event of cancellation, rescheduling, or any changes to the Charity Football Tournament 2024, the Foundation will make reasonable efforts to inform participants. However, the Foundation is not liable for any associated costs or damages.

Photography and Videography: By attending the event, participants consent to being photographed and filmed for promotional purposes. West Ham United, West Ham United Foundation, R;pple and Shawbrook Bank may use these materials without seeking further permission.

Force Majeure: The West Ham United Foundation is not liable for any failure or delay in performance arising out of circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of nature, governmental actions, labor strikes, or unforeseen events.

Personal Property: Participants are responsible for their personal belongings during the event. The West Ham United Foundation is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Code of Conduct: Participants must adhere to a respectful and sportsmanlike conduct throughout the event. Any behavior deemed inappropriate by the West Ham United Foundation may result in disqualification without refund.

Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction at the event venue, the West Ham United Academy.

By purchasing a ticket for the Charity Football Tournament, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

How do we use your Personal Data? WHUF uses the information collected from you for purposes including the following:

to provide you with products and services you request to administer competitions or promotions that you enter into to process payments that you make through our digital platforms for internal administration and record keeping to notify you of changes to this Privacy Notice, our terms and conditions or other changes to our services or products to answer your enquiries which may involve contacting you by post, e-mail or phone to contact you about third-party products and services which we believe may be relevant to you or pass your details on to third parties to contact you directly about the same (in each case, only where you have consented to hear about these) to send you certain types of direct marketing to improve and personalise your experience of our digital platforms by delivering more relevant content and advertising whilst you browse to administer our digital platforms, including trouble shooting, testing and analysis and to enable you to participate in interactive features of our digital platforms to manage legal claims and other compliance/regulatory matters to verify your identity and detect and prevent fraud and security issues to give you the opportunity to provide us with feedback through reviews and surveys to process job applications In addition to the above, we may also anonymise and aggregate your personal data in a way which means you cannot be identified. Do we send your Personal Data outside the EEA? The European Economic Area or “EEA” is deemed to have good standards when it comes to data privacy. We also make sure that third parties who need to handle your data when helping us to deliver our services are subject to suitable confidentiality and security standards.

Your rights as a data subject At any point whilst WHUF is in possession of or processing your Personal Data, you may have the following rights:

Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the Personal Data that we hold about you. Right of rectification – you have a right to correct Personal Data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete. Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances you can ask for the Personal Data we hold about you to be erased from our records. Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply you have a right to restrict the processing of your Personal Data. Right of portability – you have the right to have the Personal Data we hold about you transferred to another organisation. Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing, as well as processing we undertake based on our legitimate interests. Right to object to automated processing, including profiling – you also have the right not to be subject to the legal effects of automated processing or profiling. You don’t have to pay a fee to exercise your rights, unless your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive (in which case we can charge a reasonable fee). Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances. Where your request is legitimate, we will always respond within one month (unless there is a legal reason to take longer, such as where your request is particularly complex). We may also need you to confirm your identify before we proceed with your request if it is not clear to us who is making the request.
