UIKonf 2020 Social Events

Until March 15: Cancellations cause a penalty of 10 Euro to cover our transaction fees (only applies to ticket purchases done from today onwards) From March 15 until April 14: Cancellation will cause a penalty of 160 Euro (instead of 100 Euro as previously stated). This is about the amount of fixed costs we have per person at that point in time. Ticket transfers are free of charge. From April 15 until May 10: To give you more flexibility, in case you can’t travel, we are extending the time to transfer tickets until a week before the conference. If you find someone who buys your ticket from you, we are happy to change the ticket holder. There are no refunds. From May 11: All sales are final, no refunds nor transfers are allowed.

Due to PayPal rules, we cannot refund your ticket after 60 days. So if you paid with PayPal, it is either the deadlines above or 60 days after purchase whichever comes first. You can still transfer your ticket.

Disclaimer regarding cancellation: The organizer of UIKonf reserves the right, but takes no obligation, to cancel the conference in case of an upcoming serious risk to health and integrity of the participants (i.e., but not limited to, epi-/pandemic health disease). When this is the case is exclusively up to the discretion of the organizer of the conference and does not premise a warning or interdiction of governmental authorities. Notwithstanding the aforementioned refunding policy, in case of cancellation due to serious health and integrity risk the liability of UIKonf is limited to refund the conference fee paid. Any further cost of or consequential damages to the participants are excluded. The relationship of the participants with UIKonf is governed exclusively by German law.

We collect the following personal data:

• Your name, your email and your address for the purposes of invoicing and organizing the event. Opting-out of this will prevent us from fulfilling our obligations to you.

• We might collect other personal information such as Twitter handle, github username or similar. All of this data is optional and you can opt-out by leaving the relevant field empty during registration and/or informing somebody from the event team during the event.

• During the course of the event, we or our service providers might make audio, video or photo recordings of you. Please inform the event staff during registration or any time during the event if you would like to opt-out of such recordings.
