Terms and Conditions

Who we are We are Stream Startup Festival, a not-for-profit startup event organized by Stream Events Oy (“we”, “us” and “our”), with Business ID: 2913068-5, and registered office in Pinninkatu 47 33100 Tampere, Finland.

Structure of Terms This document sets out the Terms and Conditions between Stream Events Oy and the person who completes below actions (“you” or “your”). Purchase a ticket or register for any event organized by Stream Events Oy. Participate in any survey by Stream Events Oy.

By using goods and services provided to you by Stream Events Oy you agree that you have read and accepted these Terms and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions Stream Events Oy reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amended Terms and Conditions will be posted on this website website under Terms & Conditions sub-page as soon as the changes have been finalized. These Terms and Conditions are applicable as of 01.01.2016.

With these Terms and Conditions, you agree to:

Personal Data Stream Events Oy is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Finnish Personal Data Act (523/1999). These Terms and Conditions include and incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy (link here), which explains the types of information collected, stored, shared and processed in connection with Stream Startup Festival event.

Ticket Prices All prices indicated on the Stream Startup Festival website are in EUR currency and include VAT 24% (Finland). Stream Events Oy the right to change the ticket prices at any time but any changes will not affect tickets that have already been purchased.

Student Ticket Student tickets are only valid in combination with a valid student ID. This must be presented at the badge pick-up and shown on request to gain admission to the event venue. If no such verification is provided, the purchased ticket is invalid, and the person will not be granted access to the event.

Refund and cancellation policy All ticket purchases are final and tickets are non-refundable.

Ticket Reselling The tickets purchased are for your own personal use or that of your business and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances. In case of re-sale or attempted re-sale of any tickets, Stream Events Oy reserves the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect.

Ticket Terms of Payment The following methods of payment are available in the online store.

Event Changes or Cancellation Policy If the event is being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), ticket buyers will be refunded the total price of the purchased ticket(s). Stream Events Oy does not hold itself liable for any other expenses incurred.

Limitation of Liability Stream Event Oy will not be liable for any loss injury or damage – direct or indirect – to any person or property howsoever caused. Stream Event Oy will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. Stream Event Oy will not be liable for the granting of any visas that are required to attend any event. Stream Event Oy reserves the right to refuse admission to any event for any behavior, which violates Stream Startup Festival Code of Conduct (see below), or for breach of the Terms and Conditions. Event attendees asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Stream Event Oy reserves the right to expel from the event without a refund all event participants violating these rules.

Code of Conduct The Stream Startup Festival Code of Conduct has 3 key principles: Equality & Non-discrimination: respect everyone at the event regardless of their gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, physical appearance, body size, country of origin, language/dialect. Zero tolerance for disrespectful behavior. We do not tolerate illegal discrimination, harassment in any form or offensive behavior. Community spirit: We stand up for others and we treat others with respect. Any incidents should be reported immediately to event staff and security located at event venue.
