The data that is collected will be used by the Organizer to plan and manage the event for which you registered, as well as email you relevant details about the event.

Summary

In order for UCC to efficiently process your application payment and to ensure that an accurate receipt is generated, your contact details will be passed through a third party payment processor (Stripe Payments), along with the your application payment details. UCC does not collect or store your Credit Card or Bank Details. These details will be collected by our third party payment processor (Realex Payments) in accordance with applicable data protection laws, using an encrypted payment page on their servers in order to process your payment.

All other data and personal information furnished to UCC will be administered in accordance with the terms of the UCC Privacy Statement If you become aware of any inaccuracy in the personal data you have supplied to us, please contact us and we will update our records accordingly. Under the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003 you have a right to have any inaccurate data held by us rectified free of charge. Pursuant to the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003, you have certain rights to obtain a copy of the data held about you, which may be subject to a fee. Any such requests should be made in writing to the Information Compliance Officer at the address set out above. We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement and the UCC Privacy Statement from time to time without notice. Any changes will be reflected on this page. The University fully respects your right to privacy and actively seeks to preserve the privacy rights of those who share personal information (also known as personal data) with the University.

You may volunteer personal information (for example by using our online forms, applying for a vacancy etc.). The University principally uses your information under the legal basis of consent. An example of this would be a request to be added to a mailing list (which will be used to send you newsletters and information). As this information is provided on the basis of consent, you are free to withdraw your consent at any time. The University may also process your information under the legal basis of contract whereby the processing is necessary for a contract you have with us, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract).

We also collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our webmasters. This allows us to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
