Summary

Media Honeypot 2019 Helsinki is being organised by Media Honeypot Oy (2841740-6), a wholly Finnish owned company, which is in the main business of organising matchmaking services between digital startups and companies in media related sectors. We assume you joined the event voluntarily and with business purposes. You don´t not have to agree with other attendee´s opinions and we wish a vivid programme discussion. However all attendees and organisers are expected to behave respectfully and are treated with the same respect. Use of Event images -You consent to film and sound recording as Attendee at any event. All purchases of tickets for Events are non-refundable in their entirety. However, it is possible to allocate the ticket to a third party or change ticket holder within your organisation, at least 14 days before the Event. Any complaints regarding your participation at the Event should be directed immediatelly to the Media Honeypot team to solve a misunderstanding.

Media Honeypot 2019 Helsinki is being organised by Media Honeypot Oy (2841740-6), a wholly Finnish owned company, which is in the main business of organising matchmaking services between digital startups and companies in media related sectors.

REGISTRATION

Nature of Terms and Conditions - These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your registration as a Media Honeypot Helsinki event Attendee and the terms and conditions upon which you are permitted entry to the Event venue (to be announced, in Helsinki) as an Attendee. No other terms and conditions shall apply and all other terms, representations and warranties relating thereto whether verbal or in writing are hereby expressly excluded. You are advised to read (and are responsible for reading) these Terms. Your application to register as an attendee constitutes your confirmation that you have read the Terms and that you accept and abide by them. Where you sign on behalf of a company, organisation or other legal entity, you confirm and warrant that you are authorised to so sign on that entity’s behalf. For the avoidance of doubt, these Terms do not regulate the contract between an partner or exhibitor and Media Honeypot, separate terms and conditions applying to such arrangements. This document sets out the terms and conditions between Media Honeypot Oy and you when you purchase a ticket or register for any service or event organised by Media Honeypot Oy. By purchasing a ticket or registering for an event or conference organised by Media Honeypot you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions. Media Honeypot Oy reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted to this website. This updated version of terms and conditions for Media Honeypot Oy is applicable from August 1 2018.

Media Honeypot Oy, the Event and Attendee - In these Terms (unless the context otherwise requires) (a) “Media Honeypot " means Media Honeypot Oy, Lapinlahdenkatu 16, 00180 Helsinki, Tel: +358 400 301 350 Email: janina@mediahoneypot.com. Website: https://www.mediahoneypot.com For the avoidance of doubt, (b) "Event" means Media Honeypot 2018 | Helsinki to be held in Helsinki, for which you register as a Visitor hereunder and to be held on such dates as are set out in the Media Honeypot website or as may be notified from time to time. (d) "Attendee" means anyone attending the Media Honeypot Event held in Helsinki.

Right to refuse to register or to enter the Event - Media Honeypot reserves the right in its entire discretion to refuse to register any person as a Attendee without liability and without giving reasons as well as refusing any person entry to the Event as set out elsewhere in these Terms. A mere application to register as an Attendee does not give any person the right to entry to the Event as an Attendee even if such application is confirmed by Media Honeypot. Discounted tickets are only valid in combination and/or in conjunction with an authorised identification qualifying for discount. This must be presented at badge pick-up and shown on request to gain admission to the Event venue. If no such verification is provided, the purchased ticket is invalid, and the person will not be granted access to the Event.

No refunds except in accordance with these terms - No refunds will be made to an Attendee who is refused entry to the Event. Other than as set out in these Terms, Attendees are advised to consider whether a visa for entry into the Finland is required (and if appropriate apply in advance) as (inter alia) no refunds can be made if an Attendee is unable to attend the Event for reasons connected to failure to obtain correct visa or other entry papers.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

All purchases of tickets for Events are non-refundable in their entirety. This includes single tickets, bundle tickets and tickets included in partnerships. However, it is possible to allocate the ticket to a third party or change ticket holder within your organisation, at least 14 days before the Event. The contact details of the new participant are to be sent to Media Honeypot immediately, at least 14 days before the Event. Information shall include full name, title, email address, phone number. However, it is not possible to change the person or organisation liable for the payment.

The tickets purchased are for your own personal use or that of your business only and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances. Where there has been any re-sale or attempted re-sale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term), Media Honeypot reserves the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect. No refunds will be made.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Media Honeypot uses Tito as its ticket shop which supports Stripe and PayPal as payment services. Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd is an U.S. American limited liability company and having its registered place of business at 3180 18th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110, United States. PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. is duly licenced as a Luxembourg credit institution in the sense of Article 2 of the law of 5 April 1993 on the financial sector as amended and is under the prudential supervision of the Luxembourg supervisory authority, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, with registered office in L-1150 Luxembourg. PayPal Inc. (which is a parent company of PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.) is located in California, USA.

The following methods of payment are available in the ticket shop: Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard & American Express). Group orders can also be paid with invoice upon separate agreement.

Media Honeypot may request verification of payment for the purpose of resolving possible disputes about the purchase.

Credit cards - Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd is the product vendor for orders paid with Visa, MasterCard & American Express. The parties of the transaction are the customer and Stripe. Consequently, Stripe is responsible for all related obligations, and also the recipient of the payment.

Payment by invoice - Media Honeypot uses Administer for invoicing. Payment with invoice is available for corporate, group products upon request (B2B). The invoice will be sent to you separately, and contains all the necessary information for paying the order. Invoices include an additional fee of 3,50€. If the payment The term of payment is 14 days net. See also ’REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY’.

Payment of Relevant Fee - Payment of the relevant fee (if any) must be received by Media Honeypot, or its nominated agent, at or prior to the time of application. Failure to pay the relevant fee will invalidate any Attendee registration. Media Honeypot reserves the right to specify the payment method required on a case-by-case basis.

Credit Card & Debit Card details - If payment is made by credit or debit card, Media Honeypot will use all reasonable endeavours to keep your credit or debit card details secure by Media Honeypot and/ or its nominated agents appointed to process such payments on behalf of Media Honeypot. Please note that Media Honeypot complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

LIABILITY

Media Honeypot will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage to any person or property howsoever caused. Media Honeypot will not be responsible for any tickets that are stolen or lost. Each participant must make provision for her or his own insurance.

Use of Event images -You consent to film and sound recording as Attendee at any event. Media Honeypot reserves the right to use any image taken on-site during the Event for Media Honeypot marketing on-site and post Event marketing as well as for marketing for upcoming events and services including images, videos, audio to be used online and in print. If you do not want to be filmed or recorded during the Event you need to inform Media Honeypot immediatelly after your ticket purchase and at least 14 days before the Event in written.

No liability for errors/omissions - Media Honeypot does not accept liability for any errors and omissions on its website and reserve the right to change the format and content of the Event programme and/or identity of, speakers and/or contributors without notice. Please note that while speakers and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. Media Honeypot reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you.

Media Honeypot reserves the right to refuse admission to any Event or expel any person during an Event from the venue due to any behaviour, which Media Honeypot deems unacceptable, or for breach of the terms and conditions.

Onsite Catering - All catering facilities provided at the Media Honeypot 2018 Helsinki Event are operated by the venue owner or other third party contractors. As such Media Honeypot has no liability whatsoever to the Attendee with respect to any food or beverages consumed by the Attendee during the Event.

MISCELLANCOUS

Force Majeure - Media Honeypot reserves the right without liability to suspend, abandon, defer the date of the Event or to cancel the Event or alter or reduce the scope of the Convention or move the Event (or any part of it) to another venue for any reason whatsoever including due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Media Honeypot including, without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, riot, civil commotion, terrorism, outbreak of infectious or contagious disease, governmental regulations, legal restrictions, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes (whether or not relating to its workforce), or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials. In such circumstances, for the avoidance of doubt, Media Honeypot shall have no liability to the Attendee whatsoever.

Law - These Terms shall be subject to and construed in accordance with Finnish Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Finnish courts.

Complaints - Any complaints regarding any contract relating to you as an Attendee to the Event should be directed to the Media Honeypot office, at the address given above. However, we prefer the direct communication and in best case right on-site of the Event to eventually solve a misunderstanding.

Media Honeypot referred as “we”, “us” and “our” in the text is committed to ensure that your privacy is protected. This policy explains the privacy practices for Media Honeypot Oy website, http://mediahoneypot.com and the ticket shop via Tito platform.

We have put Newsletter Privacy Policy, in place separately beneath, in order to be more transparent and clear about our different personal data collection and processing practices.

G Suite and Google Analytics by Google, Inc. (“Google”)

G Suite is the email service provider we use. Our support personnel will receive the information you provided on our website and respond you with a mediahoneypot.com domained email address provided by G Suite.

We use Google Analytics to see the amount of website visits, unique visitors, page views, total time spent, bounce count, time/visit, and max. page views in one visit. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in many countries around the world. Google adheres to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework which means data transfer outside the EU is acceptable. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. This is the tool we use to get insights on our website’s content and to help improve engagement. The core HubSpot products are currently hosted in U.S.-based data servers. HubSpot participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. HubSpot is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives under the Privacy Shield Framework and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. MailChimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp)

This is the marketing automation platform we use to strategise and optimise our email marketing activities. If you did not subscribe to our newsletter, this service would not process any information about you. MailChimp’s servers are located in the United States, so your information may be transferred to, stored, or processed in the United States. MailChimp participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Under these circumstances, it is acceptable to transfer data outside EU to MailChimp’s servers. MailChimp may share your information with their third party service providers for the provision of services to them and in a manner that is consistent with their privacy policy.

Tito (Team Tito Limited)

This is an events management and ticketing platform that facilitates and administration and organization of our events and services plus the promotion of the events to, and the purchase of tickets of these events by, potential and actual attendees.

Tito may share your information with their third party service providers for the provision of services to them and in a manner that is consistent with their privacy policy. The list of third party service providers Tito uses may change from time to time as they change or remove some of the providers and/or put in place other providers to assist Tito in providing the Tito Services. They update their list of third party service providers on the github page Third Party Services used by Tito.

All these service providers listed above just process the data on our behalf, so they have the role to be data processor of your data.

Third party websites Social media platforms and widgets Our website includes social media features, such as the Facebook button to go to our Facebook page. These features may set a cookie to make the feature function and they may collect information about your IP address and which page you are visiting on our website. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Website.

We are also present in social media channels like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We can not have any security & privacy control on information you submit to us through a social media platform. Those interactions are administered by the privacy policies of those service providers.

Children’s Privacy Our services do not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. However to our events children can access without a ticket fee and if a name badge is asked then need at least the first name, but this is not mandatory. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your children has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Data Security We will never provide access to our databases to any third party, except to the extent necessary to conduct the operations explained in Section 1.3.

In our organisation, we restrict access to all personal information and have a defined access management process. Only the Managing Director, Marketing and Sales Team has access to your information.
