At AWS Community Day Malta, we are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, safe, and supportive environment where all participants can learn, connect, collaborate, and thrive.
We believe everyone benefits from an event atmosphere that encourages open dialogue, respectful communication, and the collaborative exchange of ideas and experiences. By following this Code of Conduct, we can create an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and empowered to contribute.
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, organisers, exhibitors, and other participants are expected to follow these principles:
Respectful Communication Engage with others respectfully and recognise the value of different perspectives, experiences, and opinions. Thoughtful and considerate dialogue contributes to a better learning and networking experience for everyone.
Collaboration and Support Participate actively, openly, and authentically. Offer help and support where appropriate, and be open to receiving it from others. Our community is stronger when we collaborate and support one another.
Professional Conduct Maintain professional and respectful behaviour in all interactions, whether in person, during workshops and sessions, at networking activities, or in event-related online spaces. Use inclusive and constructive language and be mindful of how your words and actions may affect others.
While our focus is on encouraging positive behaviour, it is important to be clear about conduct that is not acceptable at AWS Community Day Malta.
Harassment or Discrimination Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes offensive comments or behaviour relating to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
Disruptive Behaviour Behaviour that significantly disrupts presentations, workshops, discussions, networking activities, or otherwise prevents others from participating fully in the event may be addressed by event staff.
Threatening or Abusive Behaviour Threats, intimidation, bullying, unwanted physical contact, or other behaviour that makes participants feel unsafe or unwelcome will not be tolerated.
Misuse of Facilities or Technology Any attempt to misuse the venue's facilities, networks, systems, infrastructure, equipment, or amenities in a way that could cause harm, disruption, unauthorised access, or damage to participants, organisers, sponsors, the venue, or their property is strictly prohibited.
Participants who are asked to stop unacceptable behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Depending on the nature and severity of the behaviour, event organisers may take appropriate action, including issuing a warning, asking an individual to leave a session or activity, or removing them from the event without a refund where applicable.
In serious situations involving threats to safety, suspected illegal activity, or other significant incidents, the organisers may involve venue security or the appropriate local authorities.
The organisers reserve the right to determine what action is appropriate to maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for everyone.
If you experience or witness behaviour that you believe violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to a member of the AWS Community Day Malta event staff as soon as possible.
Event staff will be identifiable during the event and will treat reports seriously and handle concerns as promptly, respectfully, and discreetly as reasonably possible.
For concerns arising after the event or in event-related online spaces, please contact us at info@awscommunityday.mt.
If there is an immediate threat to someone's safety, please contact event staff, venue security, or the appropriate emergency services.
