Statement

The data collected will be used by the Organizer to plan and manage the event for which you registered, as well as email you relevant details about the event. It will also be used for invoicing and ticketing. Your registration serves as your permission for us to use you in any video or photography at the event. Recordings may be shared in our social media (incl. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).

Event Terms & Conditions

Summary

Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person. If you hold student ticket we may verify if you have a valid student ID at check-in time. Participation may be withdrawn if student ID is invalid. Event line-ups is subject to change. We are not able to assure you that requested meal will be available. Catering will be available to everyone on the first come, first served basis. Seating is limited by the size of the rooms and you are not guaranteed a seat in any session. Seating at the event is first come, first served.

Full Terms & Conditions

If any circumstances or events beyond organizer control causes partial or full cancellation of the event, we are not liable for any costs or liability incurred as a result of the cancellation. Participants need to be at least 13 years old at the time of event start.

The Code of Conduct for the whole event is binding for every attendee.

1. Open [Source/Culture/Tech] Citizenship

A supplemental goal of this Code of Conduct is to increase open [source/culture/tech] citizenship by encouraging participants to recognize and strengthen the relationships between our actions and their effects on our community. Communities mirror the societies in which they exist, and positive action is essential to counteract the many forms of inequality and abuses of power that exist in society. If you see someone who is making an extra effort to ensure our community is welcoming, friendly, and encourages all participants to contribute to the fullest extent, we want to know.

2. Expected Behavior

The following behaviors are expected and requested of all community members:

  • Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you contribute to the health and longevity of this community.
  • Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
  • Attempt collaboration before a conflict.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and your fellow participants. Alert community leaders if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.

3. Unacceptable Behavior

The following actions are considered harassment and are unacceptable within our community:

  • Violence, threats of violence or violent language directed against another person.
  • Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language.
  • Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material.
  • Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information ("doxing").
  • Personal insults, particularly those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
  • Inappropriate photography or recording.
  • Inappropriate physical contact. You should have someone’s consent before touching them.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes sexualized comments or jokes; inappropriate touching, groping, and unwelcomed sexual advances.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking or following (online or in person).
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
  • Sustained disruption of community events, including talks and, presentations.

4. Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior from any community member, including sponsors and those with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a community member engages in unacceptable behavior, the community organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the community without warning (and without refund in the case of a paid event.

5. Scope

We expect all community participants to abide by this Code of Conduct in all community venues–online and in-person–as well as in all one-on-one communications about community business. This code of conduct and its related procedures also applies to unacceptable behavior occurring outside the scope of community activities when such behavior has the potential to affect the safety and well-being of community members adversely.

Event Privacy Policy

Summary

In order to issue tickets we need valid email address and full name. You can optionally provide company name and VAT ID if you need them on invoice. We also ask you about preferred diet in order to prepare appropriate amount of food.

Your data will be processed based on your freely given consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). We are processing your data because of your consent to participate in GDG DevFest Wrocław 2019 conference. Without your consent, we cannot inform you about our event.

We may process your data and/or photographs and/or video recordings including images of you and/or sound recording including voice of you also in connection with the investigation / defense of claims or for direct marketing purposes as the legitimate interest of the data controller (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Your data may be disclosed to the following recipients: Google Inc., Facebook Ireland Ltd., Facebook Inc., Twitter International Company, LinkedIn Corporation. Additionally your data can be transferred to and/or stored on the servers (located inside and/or outside EEA) of the entities cooperating with us, in particular to the provider of IT services.

Event Data Retention Policy

Duration

Your data will be stored until you withdraw your consent. We are entitled to store your data until the expiry of limitation period for claims.

Description

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of the consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing of data which was carried out on the basis of the consent prior to its withdrawal. Invoices have be stored up to 5 years (to the end of the 5th year).
