1. Ticket prices are subject to 5% of payment processing fee, which will be processed at payment and the tickets will be dispatched to you electronically.

2. Tickets you purchase are non-refundable and for personal use. Except with written approval from FINNOVASIA, you and your party must not re-sell or transfer (or seek to re-sell or transfer) the tickets. A breach of this condition will entitle FINNOVASIA to cancel the tickets without prior notification, refund, compensation or liability.

3. Agenda and speakers of the event may be changed to without prior notice. You should always check that an event is going ahead at the scheduled date, time and venue.

4. If the event is canceled or significant changes to the venue, date, show time is made, an email will be sent to you as soon as possible.

5. Decisions to change or cancel events are the responsibility of various parties, which are subject to various reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure (for example, typhoon), FINNOVASIA cannot guarantee to be held responsible for refunds or for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation, any other related goods or service or other compensation.

6. We will share your personal information with InvestHK as necessary for the purposes of the event, marketing or other purposes; we will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between you and ourselves. We will always comply with Hong Kong data protection legislation.

7. FINNOVASIA cannot be liable in any way for the acts or omissions of others (including but not limited to venue operators). However, FINNOVASIA does not seek to exclude its liability to you for which cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

8. The purchase by you of tickets and these terms and conditions (and any contractual or non-contractual matters arising in relation to these terms and conditions) are governed by Hong Kong law and any disputes arising out of any transaction between you and FINNOVASIA are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong Courts.

Personal data collected and held

In order to provide a better service to you, we may collect information when you attend our functions, use our services, register with us or communicate with us. The typical types of information held by InvestHK & Finnovasia are basic contact details (such as name, job title, company name, address, email, telephone and fax numbers), a record of our contact with you and your areas of interest e.g. sectors, events, publications etc.

Purposes of collecting and keeping personal data

The main purposes for which personal data are kept and used by InvestHK & Finnovasia include: – To provide services or information to facilitate companies to set up or expand their business operation in Hong Kong – To mail communications, publications, invitations and such like as you may select, request or as we may consider to be relevant to you – To measure the success of specific campaigns and for general market research; and for registration for events.

InvestHK & Finnovasia may conduct direct marketing via fax, email, direct mail, telephone and other means of communication whether now or hereafter know, or send e-newsletters to you. You may choose not to receive promotional materials, by simply telling us (see below for contact details), and we will cease to do so, without charge. If applicable law required that we receive your explicit consent before we send you certain types of marketing communications, we will only send you those types of communications after receiving your explicit consent.

Data captured on-line or via InvestHK & Finnovasia website are retained on server of InvestHK & Finnovasia. Storage on InvestHK & Finnovasia server is protected in accordance with the requirements of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region which protect against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure or other use.

InvestHK & Finnovasia retains personal data so long as the data are still required for the purposes mentioned above.

Access to and correction of personal data

An individual may request access to his personal data held by InvestHK & Finnovasia pursuant to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. A charge may be imposed to cover the cost of photocopying personal data at the rate as approved by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury. In addition, an individual may also request for correction of his personal data held by InvestHK & Finnovasia if he considers the data are inaccurate.
