Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable and will be challenged. This includes but is not restricted to (and in no particular order) discrimination of individuals due to their: age, race, disability, gender, sex, religion, sexual orientation, religious or philosophical belief, class or health status.

Harassment, prejudice and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated, and may result in expulsion from the premises and a ban from future events.

Any attendees who feel unsafe are encouraged to seek assistance from any event organiser during the event. They are also welcome to contact us after an event if they prefer.

All event organisers are also subject to this agreement.

Event Privacy Policy

Summary

We only collect, store, and use your registration data for the running of the events you registered for and not for marketing. We'll never give it to anyone else. Filming and photography take place at the event for promotional purposes.

DEFINITIONS

PERSONAL DATA - Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from that data (or from data and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

USAGE DATA - Usage Data is data collected automatically, either generated by the use of our Website or from the Website infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

COOKIES - Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a User’s device (For example: Laptop, Mobile Phone, Tablet)

REMARKETING - Remarketing (sometimes known as “retargeting”) is the tactic of serving targeted ads to people who have already visited or taken action on a website. In terms of technical execution, remarketing is the process of using a javascript tag (known as a pixel) to place a cookie in the user’s browser. The cookie then informs a remarketing platform to serve specific display ads to an internet user, based on the pages or products the user has engaged with or searched for on a website or app.

DATA CONTROLLER - Data Controller means a person who (either alone or jointly with other persons) determines the purposes of the data we collect and the manner in which data is processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your data.

DATA PROCESSOR (OR SERVICE PROVIDER) - Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any person (other than an employee of the Data Controller) who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller.

We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your data more effectively.

DATA SUBJECT - Data Subject is any living individual who is the subject of Personal Data.

USER - The User is the individual using our Service. The User corresponds to the Data Subject, who is the subject of Personal Data (E.g. The Website user becomes the Data Subject by using our Website)

  • Deevstock (“us”, “we”, or “our”) is a group of friends that run events - Deevstock, the festival, and Deeviate, the clubnight.

  • Deevstock is run by NIZAN LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England & Wales, whose registered company number is 09730944 and registered address is 113 Coombe Lane, London, SW20 0QY

  • The Deevstock Team is made up of the director of NIZAN LTD, and a collective of volunteers who are not employees of the company.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE HAVE?

  • Your email address.

  • Your name, if you gave it to us.

  • The company you work for, if you gave it to us.

HOW DO WE GET THIS INFORMATION?

You registered for a ticket for a Deevstock event and/or you signed up to our mailing list.

WHY DO WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION?

If you gave us the data when getting a ticket this is;

  • To send you your tickets.

  • So we know who to let in on the door/gate.

  • To send you updates about the event you’re going to, such as, but not limited to, venue or time changes.

  • For tax and auditing purposes.

If you signed up to our mailing list this is;

  • To let you know about our upcoming events, when tickets go on sale, Deevstock related products and to invite you to our Facebook event.

  • In both cases, we wont sell or give your data to anyone else for purposes other than those related to the running of our events.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO MY DATA?

  • The Deevstock Team.

  • 3rd party commercial entities, who may process the data outside of the the EU. In particular;

    If you're registered for a ticket - with our ticket provider, TiTo

    If you purchased a ticket - with our payment handler Stripe.

    If you signed up to our mailing list - with our email service Mailchimp.

  • During an event, we may create a Guestlist which is shared with necessary door/gate/venue staff so they can perform their duties. It will then be deleted/destroyed after the event.

HOW IS MY DATA KEPT SAFE?

TiTo, Stripe and Mailchimp are private, password protected services which store and manage data on our behalf for specific purposes; managing tickets, processing payments and sending emails. They are obliged to use data only for these purposes, not to share it with anyone else, but importantly to keep it safe.

WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?

In certain circumstances, you have the right:

  • To access and receive a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you

  • To rectify any Personal Data held about you that is inaccurate

  • To request the deletion of Personal Data held about you (except data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.)

Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests.

Photography & Filming

Filming and photography take place at the event for promotional purposes. These will likely appear on our website and social media.

If you would prefer not to be photographed, please let the photographer know.

If a photo or video is posted and you are in it, and would like it to be removed, please message us on social media or contact the data protection offer to have it removed. Please give as much detail as possible about where you saw the photo (when it was posted, which platform you saw it on).

We are not responsible for photographs or video taken, or posted, by other attendees.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

If we hold Personal Data about you and our policy change may impact you, we will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

Event Data Retention Policy

Duration

7 Years after the event you registered for (Guestlists: up to 14 days)

Description

We retain registration data for revenue/tax auditing purposes, and are obliged to do this for 6 years. We hold onto it for 7 in case the event date falls outside of a tax year. Guestlists, and any other temporary lists of data, will be destroyed as soon as possible, but always within 14 days of the event.
