Cancellation policy

Cancellations requested at least 30 days in advance of the conference will be eligible for a full refund of the registration fee. After this point, the fee is nonrefundable. To request a cancellation or eligible refund, email contact@crisprcon.org

Keystone Policy Center Data Privacy Policy - CRISPRcon

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for the Keystone Policy Center’s CRISPRcon program. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by the Keystone Policy Center in fulfilling its obligations to supply you with tickets, event information, and customer service in relation to an event that you have registered for. It will notify you of the following:
-What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
- What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, Sharing and Retention

Keystone Policy Center is the sole owner of the information collected for use relating to CRISPRcon. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email, event registration or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to participate in a CRISPRcon event. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new CRISPRcon events, related news, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. To do so, click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any e-mail you receive from us. You may also do so at any time by contacting us via email (info@keystone.org) or phone number 970-513-5800 (United States). In addition, you may contact us to:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have about you.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take significant precautions to protect your information. We do not collect credit card data but a third party may. See “Data Sharing” below. We do collect information for use in managing CRISPRcon events including but not limited to: email, name, billing address, title, affiliation, sector and field of expertise, dietary restrictions, accessibility requirements, phone number, attendance, and programming preferences. We store this data securely and do not share it with outside parties. Some information you share with us may be submitted by a third party. We select these parties carefully ensuring that they do not share information with other parties and ensuring that they gather information securely. We use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, and we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. Optional Information

In order to participate in a CRISPRcon event, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and e-mail address) This information is used to contact you about the event in which you have expressed interest. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as dietary restrictions) about yourself, but it is not required.

Information Sharing

We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We use a credit card processing company to bill users for services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond filling your order. We partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Surveys

From time-to-time we request information via survey. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this and future CRISPRcon programs.
