The data that is collected will be used by The Tournament to plan and manage the event as well as email you relevant details about the event. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us and we will never release your details to any third party without your consent. We may change this policy from time to time , you will be informed of this.
**Closing date for entries: 24 April 2026** The Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament is one of the largest amateur golf tournament in Europe, held every summer on the North Coast. The tournament will be played over 4 courses -, Royal Portrush Valley Links, Ballycastle, Castlerock and Ballyliffin Old Links. **By purchasing a ticket you agree to the Terms & Conditions below.
The Causeway Coast Golf Tournament 2026 will be played at Royal Portrush, Ballycastle, Castlerock and Ballyliffin Golf Clubs.
The Tournament will be played over five days from Monday 1st to Friday 5th June 2026
Each player will play on four of the five days with a rest day
Handicaps / Restrictions.
The event is open to amateur gentlemen players over 18 years of age with a World Handicap Index of 24 or less. Each player must carry proof of handicap on each day of the Tournament. A current World Handicap Index must be submitted with the players registration. The maximum playing handicap will be 24.
All players must be members of Golf Clubs recognised and affiliated to their country’s governing body and must have an official handicap. All scores in this competition must be returned to the home club by the player concerned - see Clause 8.12. The Handicap Committee of the home club will consider them in accordance with Clause 23 either as part of the Annual Review or, if appropriate, for an immediate cut under Clause 23B - General Play Adjustment. The Committee reserves the right to revise any players handicap before or during the Tournament.
Format.
The overall competition is run on the Stableford system. Concurrently with the main Tournament a subsidiary competition is run each day at each course with trophies and prizes for the best scores returned including the best gross score on each course.
Entrance Fees/Discounts/Refunds.
Host /Partner Club Members £140.00. Host/Partner Clubs for 2026 are Royal Portrush, Ballycastle, Castlerock, Ballyliffin, North West, Rathmore and Bushfoot.
Golf Ireland Members £250.00.
Visitors Outside Ireland £370.00*
*With the exception of Ballyliffin visitors outside Ireland will be entitled to complimentary practice rounds after 4.00 pm from the Monday through to Friday preceding the Tournament. Practice rounds booked outside of these times may be subject to charge, this will be at the discretion of the individual clubs.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES WILL BE SUBJECT TO AN ADMINISTRATION CHARGE OF £20.00
The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry to the Tournament.
Group Booking discount (10%) for 10 or more players from 18th August 2025 to 31st March 2026.
Entrance fees will not be refunded after 15th May 2026.
THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES WILL BE 24th APRIL 2026. Entries will close prior to this date if the Tournament limit of 600 players is reached.
The Draw
The Tournament Director will endeavour, where possible, to fulfil requests for specific rest days and tee times however this cannot be guaranteed. Tee times may be subject change at short notice. We will endeavour to post the draw at the participating Clubs and on the Tournament website a minimum of 7 days before the event.
Suspension or Cancellation of Play.
Should play have to be suspended or cancelled by any event outside the control of the Tournament Committee (for example adverse weather), then the Committee will make the final decision regarding revision of play and awarding of prizes.
Opening Ceremony.
The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday 31st May 2026 at 7.30 pm. The Venue to be confirmed
Prize Presentation.
The Prize will be held on Friday 6th June 2026 at 8.30 venue to be confirmed.

The Tournament makes the following commitments: We will never provide your personal details to any third party organisation for marketing purposes without your express consent. Your personal information is held securely both in hard copy and electronically in compliance with GDPR and is treated as confidential. You can request access to, update, amend or delete (subject to Data Retention Policy) the personal information held about you by The Tournament. We will retain your personal data for up to seven years after you have played in or contacted us regarding the event. After this time your details will be deleted from our electronic and hard copy records unless we are legally obliged to retain them.
