This document sets out the Terms and Conditions between ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies and you. Follow these Terms and Conditions as well as other instructions given to you by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies or their personnel.

ArcticStartup Media Oy
General Clauses This document sets out the Terms and Conditions between ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies and you, when you:
Purchase a ticket or register for any event or conference organized by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies. Participate in any survey of ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies, or browse web-content created or otherwise provided by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies. Act as a volunteer at any of the events organized or produced by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies.
These Terms and Conditions also apply to all other goods and services provided to you by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies, which include, but are not limited to, business consulting services and other business advisory services.
By using goods and services provided to you by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By conducting business with ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies or purchasing tickets to events organized by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies you confirm you are purchasing goods and services for use in your trade. Trade terms and conditions do not fall under consumer law or distance selling regulations.
ArcticStartup Media Oy reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amended Terms and Conditions will be posted on this website as soon as the amendments have been finalized. These Terms and Conditions are applicable as of 01.01.2016.With these Terms and Conditions, you agree to:
Follow these Terms and Conditions as well as other instructions given to you by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies or their personnel. Notify ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies or their personnel without delay of any damages, problems or other negative occurrences that may take place. Give your consent to ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies to collect, process and use your personal data in accordance with the Finnish Personal Data Act (523/1999) and the Description of file, which you can view here. Defend ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies against all claims and liabilities that are directed towards ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies, if deemed necessary. Be fully responsible for (and fully indemnify) all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including but not limited to legal fees) suffered by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies or a third party arising out of any breach by your part of these Terms and Conditions. Limit any and all damages that you or someone else may suffer to the best of your abilities.
With these Terms and Conditions, you agree NOT to: Use the any of websites affiliated with ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies (or any part of them) for any illegal purpose and agree to use it in accordance with all relevant laws. Upload or transmit through any of the websites affiliated with ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies (i) any computer viruses, macro viruses, trojan horses, worms or anything else deemed malicious. Use any of the websites affiliated with ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies in a manner which (i) may cause the website to be interrupted, damaged, rendered less efficient or such designed to interfere with, interrupt or disrupt the normal operating procedures of a computer or (ii) any material which is defamatory, offensive, or of an obscene or menacing character, or that may cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety; (iii) that the effectiveness or functionality of the website is in any way impaired or (iv) violates or infringes the rights of any person, firm or company (including, but not limited to, rights of intellectual property, rights of confidentiality or rights of privacy) of the website. Attempt any unauthorized access to any part or component of any of the websites affiliated with ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies. Alter or modify any part of any of the websites affiliated with ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies other than as may be reasonably necessary to use the website for its intended use. Take part in legal any action against ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies.
By agreeing to act as a volunteer at an event, you acknowledge that: You are a volunteer, not an employee of ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or any of its Finnish affiliate companies unless explicitly stated in a separate employment contract in writing. You will receive no compensation for travel, accommodation etc. There is no guarantee that you will be selected to be a volunteer at the event. If you have been selected to volunteer at the event but have already bought a ticket, you are not eligible for a refund. If you violate any event rule or fail to show up for an assigned shift, your accreditation can be removed and you will be denied access to the event. You attest to the truth of all statements made in your application. The use of alcohol and/or controlled substances before or while on duty is strictly prohibited.
Violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal, removal of accreditation and removal from the event grounds.
Selection as a volunteer grants permission to ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies, to use the volunteer likeness, name, voice and words in television, radio, film, newspapers, magazines and other media, both during and any time after the event, and in any form, for advertising or communicating the purpose of the event(s). In the course of the event you may be dealing with confidential information and you agree to keep such information in the strictest of confidence. You will also agree to sign a separate confidentiality agreement if deemed necessary. You have an obligation to inspect all the equipment that is given to you before you start using the said equipment and notify ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies or their personnel of any issues with the equipment. You will defend ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies against all claims and liabilities. You will compensate ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies in full amount for any and all damages that they have compensated a third party for, due to damages that you have caused whilst acting as a volunteer, and to which ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies are being held responsible for.
Limitation of Liability ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliated companies take no responsibility for any information published on linked websites, contained in any user submissions published on ArcticStartup Media Oy’s and/or its Finnish affiliate companies’ website, or provided by third parties.
ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies take no responsibilities for any injuries, damages – direct or indirect – or consequential losses, including operating losses, loss of earnings, loss of goodwill, etc.
Unless faced with force majeure the full financial amount of ArcticStartup Media Oy’s and/or its Finnish affiliate companies’ responsibility in all cases will be limited to the amount paid by you to ArcticStartup Media Oy or its Finnish affiliate companies.
Force majeure is considered an impediment beyond ArcticStartup Media Oy’s and/or its Finnish affiliate companies control, which could not have been reasonably taken into account at the time of conclusion of an agreement and the consequences of which ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies could not reasonably have avoided or overcome. For the sake of clarity, let it be stated that force majeure are impediments such as, without being limited to, strike, war, famine, acute illness, accident or death of a key employee, sudden and unexpected termination of key employee’s employment or partnership agreement, authoritative prohibition or some other type of action or event that result in ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies not being able to render agreed services.
Events and Tickets After the purchase of your ticket, it will remain the property of ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies and it is a personal revocable license, which may be withdrawn, and admission refused at any time.
All purchases of tickets are non-refundable. The tickets purchased (including hotel rooms if applicable) are for your own personal use or that of your business only and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances, including but not limited to use as part of any promotion or competition.
ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies reserve the right to: Cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect, where there has been any re-sale or attempted re-sale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term) Cancel any ticket purchase made by any person or body whom is reasonably believed to be associated with any ticket broker or tout. Refuse admission to any event or conference for any behavior, which is deemed unacceptable, or for breach of these Terms and Conditions. ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. The unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment at events and conferences is prohibited. You consent to be filmed and sound recorded as attendees at any event or conference arranged by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies.
It is strictly forbidden for any company, organization or attendee to attempt to host or organize any event in conjunction with, contiguous to or purporting to be related to ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies without the express prior permission and co-operation of ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies. In the event of breach of these Terms and Conditions any tickets purchased will be rendered null and void. ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies reserve the right to take such legal action including a claim for damages as may be appropriate.ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies will not be liable for the granting of any visas that are required to attend any event or conference. In the event that an attendee’s visa is not granted tickets will not be refunded for any event or conference.
Website ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies reserve the right to: Modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, the website (or any part of it) with or without notice to you. Change these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Your continued use of the website (or any part of it) following such change shall be subject to and including the changes made to the Terms and Conditions from time to time. Monitor any activity and content associated with the website. Investigate any reported violation of these Terms and Conditions to confirm that ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies are not liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the website; and/or deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Terms and Conditions have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the Terms and Conditions then you must immediately stop using the website; and/ or complaints relating to the website and take any action that we deem appropriate (which may include, but is not limited to, issuing warnings, suspending, terminating or attaching conditions to your access and/or removing any materials from the website).
The content and functionality of the web-content created or otherwise provided by ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies is provided with the fact that ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies are not rendering professional advice and services to you unless otherwise explicitly stated in a separate agreement in writing. All content and functionality is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies may provide links to third-party websites or host web-content on a third party server. ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliated companies have no responsibility for these third-party websites, which are governed by the terms of use and privacy policies, if any, of the applicable third-party content providers.
Other Services Rendered by ArcticStartup Media Oy or its Finnish Affiliate CompaniesArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies may provide you also with other services. Nature, scope, fees and other relevant terms and conditions of these services are to be agreed upon in a separate written agreement. These Terms and Conditions will apply in principle, unless otherwise agreed in a separate written agreement.
Inconsistencies In the event of inconsistencies between these Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions stated in a separate written agreement between you and ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies, the latter will prevail.
Choice of Law Rules and Court of VenueAny contractual relationships between ArcticStartup Media Oy and/or its Finnish affiliate companies and you (and any associated entities), shall be regulated in full by Finnish law without giving any regard to its statues and principles regarding the choice of Law and the Helsinki District Court is the court of venue.

Personal data processed and sources of data Arctic15 collects two types of information from our Users: (i) User Data; and (ii) Technical Data. Although we do not normally use Technical Data to identify you as an individual, you can sometimes be recognized from it. Arctic15 offers you access to the personal data we process. This means you can contact us asking us to inform you about your personal data that we have collected and processed and the purposes such data are used for.
Right to correct
You have the right to have incorrect/unprecise, incomplete, outdated, or unnecessary personal data we have stored about you corrected or completed by contacting us.
Right to deletion
You may also ask us to delete your personal data from our systems. We will comply with such request unless we have a legitimate ground to not delete the data. After the data have been deleted, we may not immediately be able to delete all residual copies from our active servers and backup systems.

You may also object to any further processing of your personal data after prior given consent. If you object to the further processing of your personal data, this may lead to fewer possibilities to use our websites and other services.

Should despite of the security measures, a security breach occur that is likely to have negative effects to your privacy, we will inform you about the breach as soon as reasonably possible.

We will not make substantial changes to this Privacy Statement or reduce your rights under this Privacy Statement without providing you with a notice.

We retain data about all purchases for 6 years after the last action due to audit. This will be adhered to wherever possible, although it is recognized that there may be exceptional circumstances which require documents to be kept for either shorter or longer periods.
